ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

This website was put together to provide information about South East Essex Local Exchange Trading System (SEELETS) and also about LETS schemes in general. At the risk of appearing ‘boring’ to those with flasher web browsers I’ve tried to keep the format as basic as possible in the firm belief that the simplest modes of communication are the most effective (and have far shorter download times)... To this end I’ve also done my best to avoid any text which might appear ‘jargonistic’ or which gets into in-depth discussion of the theories behind LETS- for those who wish for a more technical and theoretical overview I’d advise looking at the LETS Systems website, or some of the other pages on our LETS links page.

Thanks due to everybody involved with SEELETS, esp. Paul Brown for technical help, and Derek Lucas and all the original ‘Greenlinks’ people for getting the ball rolling in the first place, and to LETSLINK UK, whose leaflets & literature I have freely plagiarised. Also to all on the ‘Serif User Forum’ for the help and advice regarding using the software.
